NORÐUR is run by Icelanders who guide. We limit ourselves to a handful of parties a week so that the person who plans your trip is usually the one who meets you at the airport.
Iceland doesn't need embellishing. The best thing a tour operator can do is remove friction: the booking, the driving, the guessing about weather and distances, the queue at the waterfall. What's left is the island, and time to look at it.
So we run two itineraries, refined every season, and we'd rather say no to a week than run it badly. Our guides are Icelandic, licensed, glacier- and first-aid-trained, and chosen for how they are to spend seven days with. Our hotels are the ones we book for our own families.
